RECONSTRUCTION 003 IN COLLABORATION WITH ATLANTA UNITED
This kit is an Atlanta sports junkie’s dream. The project was initially brought to us by the Atlanta United Marketing Team. At first, we originally reluctant to take on this project. However, it prevented us from a challenge we knew we wanted to overcome which was to make the design flow like it was all one jersey and to not look like amateurs who threw two different sporting jerseys together. This shirt fuses an Atlanta United home kit with a special edition Atlanta Falcons jersey, bringing together a historic Atlanta franchise with our newest commodity. The centerpiece of the top is the United kit while the Falcons jersey occupies the sleeves and back. The back also bears Julio Jones' name. The placement of each specific jersey within the top highlights key aspects that make a football and soccer jersey unique. Ironically, this top alludes to the never-ending argument over which sport is the rightful owner of the term "football", but in the city of Atlanta, I’m sure we can all agree on who is the true king of football.
